The Mother, May I Community

Community Meet-Up: May 16th 2026

A community for moms who are done asking for permission to be themselves and are committed to restoring their sense of self & sovereignty.

This is community is designed with real mom life in mind, not against it.

This community doesn’t add to your plate, this is where you finally set the plate down and get to question what you’re carrying, and if you really want/need to carry it any more so that when you’re ready to pick that plate back up it feels lighter and easier to carry.

Our conversations are guided with coaching questions and simple activities that help gently rewire the brain from self-abandonment patterns into self-empowerment, so you can start showing up for yourself the same way you’ve always shown up for everyone else.

What Mother May I Actually Is

  • A community with facilitated conversations, activities, and resources that gently reconnect you with yourself on a nervous system level; so you feel the shift from constantly holding it all together to finally feeling held yourself.

    • Designed to work with the realities of mom life instead of against them or adding more to your plate.

    • A place to come back to yourself; without fixing or forcing.

    • A place to get tools to rebuild self-trust and confidence

    • A space where you don’t have to perform “good mom energy”

    • A space where you take off the mom hat.

    • A collective space to do meaningful inner growth work alongside other women; where your progress is celebrated and you’re supported through the moments you feel untethered.

    • A support group where you are forced to participate/share.

    • A pep-talk-fueled positivity cult

    • Therapy (but it is therapeutic)

    • A place where you have to prove you’re burnt out “enough”

NOTE: Allison is a certified, psychology-informed and nervous system–based, identity coach and hypnotherapist, NOT a counselor or therapist.

This community is designed to support self-awareness, self regulation, and personal growth; NOT to diagnose, treat, or replace mental health care.

If you are navigating distress & think you may benefit from clinical support, working with a licensed professional alongside this community is encouraged and supported.

Upcoming Meet-Ups

  • Permission to be Imperfect

    Saturday, June 6th

    10:00am-11:30am

This conversation is about untangling the belief that you always have to do things perfectly to be accepted, loved, respected, or enough. Because constantly trying to avoid mistakes, disappointing people, or “failing” is exhausting.

  • Permission to Play/Joy

    Saturday, June 20th

    10:00am-11:30am

Playfulness and joy are productive, but they usually don’t feel like it, especially if you’re used to earning your worth through doing.

This week we’re breaking that pattern in real time. We’re going to talk about it, then experience it through play so your body can start learning a new truth: ease is not wasted time.

Why “Mother, May I?”

You remember that childhood game.
You had to ask permission for every move...trying to get closer to the “mother”.

This community exists because somewhere along the way, moms were taught to ask for permission to get closer to themselves.

Mother, May I is where you stop asking and start choosing:

  • your voice

  • your autonomy

  • your confidence

  • your next step

THIS is where you learn how to move closer to yourself.

(guilt and shame FREE!)

A young girl with long curly hair, wearing a banana-print shirt and blue jeans, sitting on a log in front of a background of red flowers, covering her eyes with her hands.

If this feels right...

You Might Be Here Because…

  • You love your kids and miss yourself.

  • You second-guess every decision, even the small ones.

  • You’re tired of being told to “just take a bath” about burnout. You want to feel energized and present.

  • You feel disconnected from your confidence, intuition, or voice.

  • You’re functioning… but barely feeling like you.

  • You ask your partner for permission to do something in service to yourself (like take a shower.)

And you’re low-key wondering when motherhood became synonymous with self-abandonment.

(Yeah. Same.)

A pregnant woman wearing a tank top and pants, holding her baby bump with one hand and her other hand gently resting on her hip, showing jewelry on her fingers and wrist.
